With kernel-2.6.6-1.427 there are no such messages anymore.

Comment 3 Jon Bianca 2005-04-01 17:18:55 UTC

I'm seeing this message with FC3 (kernel 2.6.9-1.667)

Comment 4 Tim 2005-04-19 23:44:29 UTC

Also being seen with FC4 Test2 (kernel 2.6.11-1.1226)

Comment 5 Nicolas Corrarello 2005-07-21 14:19:42 UTC

This can be circumvented (if using hotplug) by adding uhci_hcd to/etc/hotplug/blacklist. Of course, if the module is loaded, problem will appearsagain. It is possible to filter the messages by adding switch "-c 2" to kernel loggingdaemon. Just edit /etc/init.d/klogd:ChangeKLOGD=""toKLOGD="-c 2"Unfortunately this filters also many other useful kernel messages.

Comment 6 Dave Jones 2006-10-16 20:03:30 UTC

A new kernel update has been released (Version: 2.6.18-1.2200.fc5)based upon a new upstream kernel release. Please retest against this new kernel, as a large number of patchesgo into each upstream release, possibly including changes thatmay address this problem. This bug has been placed in NEEDINFO state.Due to the large volume of inactive bugs in bugzilla, if this bug isstill in this state in two weeks time, it will be closed.Should this bug still be relevant after this period, the reportercan reopen the bug at any time. Any other users on the Cc: listof this bug can request that the bug be reopened by adding acomment to the bug.In the last few updates, some users upgrading from FC4->FC5have reported that installing a kernel update has left theirsystems unbootable. If you have been affected by this problemplease check you only have one version of device-mapper & lvm2installed. See bug 207474 for further details. If this bug is a problem preventing you from installing therelease this version is filed against, please see bug 169613.If this bug has been fixed, but you are now experiencing a differentproblem, please file a separate bug for the new problem.Thank you.

Comment 7 Jon Stanley 2008-01-20 04:36:43 UTC

Please re-open if the issuestill occurs for you and I will try to assist in its resolution. Thank you fortaking the time to report the initial bug.If you believe that this bug was closed in error, please feel free to reopenthis bug.
