Can I take my S21 Ultra in the shower?
With an IP68 rating, you are basically covered for immersion in water that is around 1.5 meters deep, and for about 30 minutes, at least that's what Samsung has claimed about the new S21 series.
If device gets wet, dry it thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth. Don't expose the device to salt water or ionized water. Allow the device to air-dry before using it. Physical damage to your device such as chips and cracks can significantly reduce its ability to resist dust and water.

Although the Galaxy S21 Ultra has an IP certification and can be immersed underwater, the extreme air pressure and salt in a marine environment would most likely damage it. The Galaxy S21 Ultra doesn't seem to have been affected by this, as it still managed to snap some gorgeous shots of the water.

Can S21 Ultra take raw photos?
Samsung introduced its Expert Raw app in beta at the end of 2021; currently, it is only available for the S21 Ultra. The app allows you to control manual exposure settings for all four of the rear cameras, which is nice, but the more interesting thing it allows you to do is shoot multi-frame RAW files.
Exposure and Contrast
As we would expect from a high-end device in 2021, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is capable of delivering good target exposure in all conditions, from bright sunshine down to low light. This image shows the camera maintaining good contrast on the subject, even when capturing challenging backlit scenes.
Thanks to its large sensor, the main camera is clearly the best of the four, with its 12MP files showing good detail across almost the entire frame. The wideangle camera isn't quite as good, with a more processed look to its images and some colour fringing at the corners.
Cons. Somewhat bulky and slippery. The image processing needs further refinements. We don't miss the microSD slot, but some of you might.
Modern smartphones and tablets typically feature IP68 water and dust resistance, so you can definitely bring most devices into the shower without fear of breaking them, but is anyone actually doing this?
Maybe you use your shower time to set a tone for the day or learn something new. I suspect some of the phone-showering population — and some of the gray-area cases — are just using their phones as Bluetooth speakers. Pretty much every flagship phone these days is waterproof, so why not?
The device's ability to withstand falls from varying heights, including extreme testing, underscores its structural integrity. While the durability of the S21 Ultra is commendable, it's important to remember that no smartphone is completely indestructible.
The Galaxy is narrower and easier to hold. Big Android phones are common now, though, so Samsung's job is to not only make a powerful phone but to make one that feels well-made. Mission accomplished: the S21 Ultra looks great and feels better.

When you research a phone to see if it's waterproof, look for the letters “IP” followed by a 2-digit number, such as IP67 or IP68. The first number tells you how easily solid particles like dust can get in. The second number indicates how well the phone resists water. Higher numbers mean better protection.
Galaxy S21 Ultra goes out, makes space for S22 Ultra
A previous leak suggested that Samsung could be mostly relying on its Exynos 2200 chip, which has a new GPU that is based on the AMD RDNA 2 architecture. Leaked website data suggests that the cameras could not be much different from the S21 Ultra.
Samsung is starting to phase out the Galaxy S21 Ultra in anticipation of the Galaxy S22 Ultra that's coming on February 9. Samsung is no longer selling the Galaxy S21 Ultra on its official websites in France, Germany, the UK and the US, among others.
S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra
The lineup of the first three devices was unveiled at Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event on 14 January 2021. The three devices served as the successors of the 2020 models.
The '8' in IP68 translates to the Galaxy S22 being able to survive up to 1.5m of water submersion for up to 30 minutes. Galaxy S22 owners shouldn't actively try to get the phone wet, but they can rest easy knowing it's safe from accidents.
